Even the dead of summer is a great time but you’ll be battling both the height of the tourist season and the miserable heat that accompanies it. Winter will feature snow covered granite slopes of El Cap and Sentinel Dome while Fall will feature beautiful yellow/orange colors in the trees below. The trailhead for both is located in the smaller of the two Tunnel View lots via and concrete staircase. The biggest advantage to both is that because there is a steep, half mile climb to get to both it tends to receive a lot of less people. Both offer similar, but slightly different views of the same you’d get at Tunnel View. The two viewpoints mentioned above are Artist Point and Inspiration Point.
